Keynote Speech: Advancing Work Practices in Response to Emerging Changes in Work and Life

Dr. Laura Lee Bierema is a Professor at University of Georgia, College of Education, program of Adult Learning, Leadership, and Organization Development. Dr. Bierema’s research interests include workplace learning, career development, women’s development, organization development, executive coaching, leadership, and critical human resource development. Dr. Bierema holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Michigan State University and a doctorate in adult education from the University of Georgia. She has over 160 publications, including 10 books and the award winning text. Dr. Bierema served as Associate Dean for Academic Programs in the UGA College of Education from 2013-2017.

Dr. Hyuncheol Kim is the current and the 13th president of the National Youth Policy Institute, having taken office in December 2020. He is also the chairperson of both Asian Regional Association for Career Development and its Korean charter. He received his Ph.D. in Sociology of Education from Yonsei University, South Korea. His fields of expertise are social innovation and career development, sociology of education, and career education.

Keynote Speech: Repositioning HR Practices in Organisations

Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee currently serves as chairman, Gas Malaysia Berhad. He is also the Non-Executive Chairman on the boards of Malaysia Airlines Berhad and DRB-Hicom Bhd. He had served Petronas for 37 years. He was appointed President and Group of CEO in April 2015 and retired from the position in June 2020. He was on the Board of Petronas for more than 12 years. He was active in the World Economic Forum activities in Davos as one of the Oil and Gas Governors and was on the Stewardship Board for Shaping the Future of Energy initiative. He was on the Council member of ASCOPE, the association of the National Oil and Gas companies in ASEAN for 5 years. He was a Council Member of the East Coast Economic Region Development Council (ECERCD) and the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) where he chaired the Audit Committees at both Agencies. In education, he held the role of Pro Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Petronas. He also sits on the Board of Trustees at the Razak School of Government and was on the Advisory Council of Institut Pentadbiran Awam or INTAN, both dedicated to the development of public sector leadership.
